About Simone

I am lots of things, but in terms of vocation, there have been two things that have consistently featured; Art and Astrology.

My interest in Astrology started at the age of 11, when I discovered a book in my school library; 'The New Compleat Astrologer', by Derek and Julia Parker. This book was continuously borrowed from the library, until after at least a year, my Grandmother bought me a copy of my own.

Astrology remained a subject of great interest, and many other books followed. In the early 90's I attended a weekly evening class in Astrology, for 2 years, at Goldsmiths College in London (taught by Astrologer Paul Wade). This provided a very thorough grounding in calculating and analysing astrological charts, and affirmed my absolute love of this intriguing (and so often misunderstood) subject.

Following this I studied with Astrologer and Metaphysical Practitioner Lynne (Beale) Wilson, who ran workshops in Psychological Astrology (based on the teachings of Liz Greene), Tarot, Metaphysics, and other related subjects which often incorporated a variety of different spiritual belief systems.

Tarot has also been an area of study over many years, and is a very good companion to Astrology, both of which incorporate the Four Elements of Fire, Earth, Air and Water.

In the mid 90's, born of sheer enthusiasm, I created a short 'Introduction to Astrology' course, focussing on the elements, and the basic symbolism of the planets and zodiac signs, which I presented in the form of several evening sessions at an Arts Centre in South London.

Over the last 30 years I have attended many talks, classes and workshops (in person and more recently online), presented by The London School of Astrology, The Centre for Psychological Astrology (London), and the Brighton Astrology Circle, among others.

I was recently elected a Druid member of The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, having undertaken the full training course (which takes a minimum of 3 years). During this time I also completed online courses 'Transformation Through Tarot' (created by Steve Hounsome and Philip Carr-Gomm), and the Order's training course in funeral celebrancy 'Serving the Living and the Dead' (taught by professional celebrant River Jones).

My 'spiritual' knowledge base is therefore an amalgamation of Astrology, Tarot, Psychology, Philosophy, Druidry, and probably a few other things thrown into the mix!

Astrologically speaking, in my natal chart, I have Mercury (the planet of learning, communication and ideas) in fiery Sagittarius (associated with philosophy, spiritual beliefs and expansion/exploration), which is also conjunct my Sun (self-expression). I love to share the things I feel passionate about, and have always liked the idea of being a 'messenger' of sorts - so I hope that this website helps to generate connection, interest, insight and inspiration, relating to (any or all of) the included content.
